My family actually is in the process of a new ministry for skateboarders. The two part ministry involves preaching the word of God through skateboarding products. As well as using profits to donate to single parent family minsitries.

Sounds like your old school skateboarding experience was painful. Thanks for the link on your blog. Skateboarding is growing in popularity and is a perfect tool for spreading Christ’s message to young people. I wish ministries like these had been around when I was a teenager. At least I can spread the word that they exist. Cheers.

My name is Bill and I have an eleven year old ministry to skateboarders called Heaven Skates located in Cartersville, GA We have traveled and ministered to skaters in thirteen states in over seventy locations. Your forgetting one! King of Kings Skateboard ministry (KKSM) by far has had the most impact for the kingdom in skateboard ministry, 11,000 young people accepting JESUS at their outreaches last year!
Its not about numbers but their is some real fruit!

I don’t skate anymore but I work with a lot of young teen skaters. I help to counsel them away from drugs and alcohol.
They are exposed to drugs and attitude whenever they get involved in skating; some skate parks are the market places for substances. One Principal I work with says that she feels like a bag of pot is handed out with every new skate board. In fact one local store was busted for selling.
We need more Christian skate groups, companies, and supporters to counter the skater/drug culture.
