Have you ever heard of the Planned Parenthood site teenwire.com? It is a site dedicated to making sex enticing to young people. After all, sexual health is their business so why not create loyal customers. Part of their business is performing abortions. Recently, a user posed a question concerning the costs of an abortion and the editors (Planned Parenthood) were happy to provide the info. [Link]
The Question:
Dear Experts,
My girlfreind is about 7 weeks pregnet (his misspelling). How much would an abortion cost at planned parenthood?
deadbolt (05.20.08)
The Answer:
Dear deadbolt,
The cost of an abortion depends on what kind of abortion you have, how long you’ve been pregnant, where you go for your abortion, and what your financial situation is. At health centers, the cost of an in-clinic abortion ranges from about $275 to $700 for abortion in the first trimester. In general, an abortion costs more the longer you have been pregnant. And hospitals generally cost more than health centers. The cost of the abortion pill usually ranges from $350 to $650. The cost may be more or less depending on where a woman goes to get the abortion and on whatever additional tests, visits, or exams are needed.
Teens are often able to get financial help for abortion services. Some health centers and hospitals offer sliding scale fees according to income. Some may also reduce the cost for young people. And sometimes, Medicaid will cover the cost of an abortion procedure.
Hope this information helps!
Take care,
teenwire.com® Editors
How excellent is this. Teens can get financial aid for abortions. This is something I did not know. I wonder if there is an income limit like college financial aid. If your parents are lawyers you do not qualify or something like that. I really like the fact that my tax dollars pay for abortions as well. $275-$700 for a human life? Unbelievable.

Barack Obama supports infanticide, but he will not call it that and neither will his supporters. The following video is what the “right to choose” looks like—fetuses thrown in a dumpster.

Have you heard about this? I am a bit late to the show, but I thought I would post on it anyway. Aliza Shvarts, a Yale art student, used “a needleless syringe to insert semen into herself” to induce pregnancy and “took abortifacient herbs to induce” miscarriages all in the name of art. Yale University spokeswoman Helaine Klasky said this:
She is an artist and has the right to express herself through performance art. Had these acts been real, they would have violated basic ethical standards and raised serious mental and physical health concerns.
Ted Miller from the pro-choice group NARAL even blasted the artist:
This ‘project’ is offensive and insensitive to the women who have suffered the heartbreak of miscarriage.
Wanda Franz from The National Right to Life Committee said this:
It’s clearly depraved. I think the poor woman has got some major mental problems.
But Kate McDermott, a fellow student at Yale, supports her art:
If you appreciate the idea that art is intrinsically related to politics, then it is perfectly acceptable. But it does set a standard for achieving shock value.
What do you think? Is there a limit to what artists can do, or is an anything goes attitude acceptable? It is now acceptable to have abortions for profit and abortions to reduce humanity’s carbon footprint. What is next?
