I make no bones about my frustration and disrespect for green fanatics. Green policies are destructive, not to the earth, but to the wallet. Green policies are destructive to advancement. Texans now pay some of the highest electricity rates in the nation thanks, in part, to the incessant and tireless work of the environmentalists’ blockade of new coal-fired plants, and their “Save The Planet” mission. This is what Jim Marston, regional director for Environmental Defense in Texas, had to say about successfully brokering a deal with TXU’s buyout partners to eliminate the construction of eight new, badly needed coal-fired plants:
It really is, I think, a watershed moment in America’s fight against global warming. They have made a number of very important commitments related to both local air pollution problems in Texas as well as commitments to do something against greenhouse gas emissions.
It is all about global warming. It is all about reducing air pollution. Marston is a lunatic much like Ed Begley, Jr. Texas is a state that has seen explosive growth in the last decade. The Dallas-Ft. Worth area is still the fastest growing metropolitan area in the nation. All this growth stems from Texas’ position as a low-tax, business-friendly, job-friendly, illegal immigrant friendly, and environmentally diverse state.
I am not sure where Marston lives, but I would bet that he lives in Austin, giving him no real perspective while enjoying $0.0355 kwh rates. I hold no respect for Marston and his colleagues. His perspective on the world is the result of memorizing Walden. Supply and demand is very straight forward and Texas is suffering from a supply that cannot keep up with demand. My electricity rates have increased 300% in the last four years and I mostly blame global warming propaganda and the hysteria involved. As result of this hysteria, coal-generated electricity, the cheapest form of energy in Texas, has been vilified, resulting in increased natural gas usage. This, in turn, has caused a huge spike in natural gas prices in recent years.
The bottom line is that coal is the only way to keep consumers from getting shafted. All the environmentalist freaks living in Austin, trying very hard to keep things weird, are contributing to the economic struggles that Texans face regarding electricity all in the name of saving the earth. The earth can take care of itself people. We need to take care of ourselves. At the current rate of increases, Texans will be paying $0.25 kwh in four years. Or, at least, Texans outside of Austin.
This whole thing is ironic given that global warming hysteria was spawned from liberalism, a train of thought that demonizes the rich as a weight baring down on the little guy. I have to say that the rich are still setting their thermostats to 70℉ while the little guy cannot afford anything below 85. Green fanatics are engaged in totalitarianism. They do not care about humanity. They only care about the planet. They enjoy watching people suffer through high gas prices and electricity rates, believing that economic pain will force people to think green. High energy costs are only going to wake people up to the lunacy that is green everything. I believe a shift of consciousness is taking place and it has nothing to do with green living, but everything to do with economics 101.

So Barack Obama wants faith-based initiatives? The only problem is that his faith is so distorted, so secular, and so bastardized that his initiatives are actually shove-it-in-the-rear attacks on Christians and Christian organizations. He is pandering so hard right now for the Evangelical vote that he should just go ahead and wear a sandwich board saying, “I will say and do anything to get your vote. I am the messiah.”
Under Obama’s plan, faith-based organizations will be forced to hire homosexuals and other individuals who, openly and without remorse, live in violation of Scripture and Christianity. This is what will happen. These organizations, which Obama recognizes do much to help communities across America, will get out of the business of taking government money to help the needy. If they do not get out they will be in danger of litigious attacks, many of which will be purposefully instigated by members of the homosexual community as a part of their continuous assault on morality, normality, and God.
Obama’s initiative is an instigation. It is a call to battle just like the California Supreme Court’s negation of the people’s will. He is planning on creating situations of hostility and not situations of civic advancement by secularizing faith. This is puzzling given his continuous profession of faith in Christ. It appears that Obama’s Christianity is Jeffersonian and not Paulian. Obama is an ACLU liberal straight up. One can only expect Christ to be bastardized by this man and his fellow say-anything-to-get-elected brethren.

This type of lucidity only comes to real Americans.
Mr. Obama’s skin color is not his problem; he is nothing more than a sophisticated communicator who, on his record, is an empty suit. We live in a real world, and we should demand much more than a bunch of slick, overheated rhetoric delivered at a high decibel level.

The extremely ignorant blogger Brad Jacobson via the blogger Larisa Alexandrovna, yet not quite as perfidious as the proprietor of “Stuff God Hates,” says Jesus endorsed Barack Obama outside an Applebee’s restaurant. Without the blogosphere, these people would still be watching Star Trek reruns in their parents’ basement. When Obama’s race and religion are questioned it is called a smear, but when Jesus Christ is blatantly attacked it is called investigative reporting. Jacobson should get back to flipping burgers or selling weed, whichever it is.

Way back in 2004, Barack Obama was engaged in a political battle with Alan Keyes for a Senate seat from Illinois. During one of many debates with Keyes, Obama was asked if he thought homosexuality was innate, that people are born homosexual and do not choose to be homosexual. Obama flat out said yes. He thinks God creates homosexuals. This is a position no Christian would ever entertain.
I do not know the name of the moderator, but here is the exchange in question:
Q: Do you believe homosexuality is a choice?
Obama: No. I don’t. I… I…
Q: You think it is innate?
Obama: I think that for the most part it is innate. I think that obviously it may vary in certain circumstances, but I think it is something, uh, that is a part of their identity.
It may be a part of their identity, but they were not born perverted.

I am not a supporter of John McCain (immigration, cap-and-trade) or Barack Obama (virtually everthing). In fact, there was never a candidate in the race that inspired me except maybe Fred Thompson. You can watch Obama’s declaration of victory speech, or any other speech he has given since the beginning of the race, and see a vacuous guy with excellent teleprompter induced oratory skills. The opposite is true for John McCain.
There are not enough intelligent Americans with the ability to see through Obama’s rhetoric and pomp, while it does not take much of an IQ to view McCain’s stuttering banality as weak. The guy looks like he is going to fall over. Americans are attracted to strength, or at least, the perception of strength. This is Obama’s advantage. He only has to get up on stage and utter “change” and “yes we can” to hype up an audience. He then goes on to give some vague generalities and theories about how he is going to lift America out of the abyss, stimulating an orgasmic response from the crowd. People see him as strong because his delivery is strong.
If McCain has any desire at winning the White House, he must pick a running mate who is young (under age 55) and physically strong. A guy who runs, lifts weights, and skis double black diamonds for fun would be ideal. He also needs to possess stellar oratory ability. Everything these days is about perception. Obama, with help from the media, has been a master at creating a positive perception of himself and a negative perception of America, setting himself up as a false messiah with the ability to solve fictional problems. McCain has largely failed and is doomed if he does not get it together.

Barack Obama has tried to downplay it, while Bill Clinton has reminded us of it. Race may very well decide the Democratic nomination and beyond. This should be a concern for all Americans. When race becomes the decider, things like character, competency, patriotism, honesty, integrity, and readiness lose importance.
Thousands of Americans have voted for Obama because he is African-American, and thousands have voted against him for the same reason. This type of voting style will only increase in the future, especially when the first viable Latin-American makes a run. Sorry, Bill Richardson, but you were never in the game.
In the January 21, 2008 edition of Newsweek, Jon Meacham exposed the quanundrum facing African-American voters. In his article, “Letting Hillary Be Hillary,” he asks a female, African-American colleague what she thought about the Clinton campaign. This is what she said:
I was a Hillary supporter going into the primaries. When Barrack won in Iowa, I felt like a traitor to may race. What if this really is a moment where a black president is possible and I was going to vote for the woman! I felt awful. I constructed this whole complicated theory that I was resistant to the election of Barack because, if he won, then I and ever other black person in the world was going to have to accept a new paradigm in American race relations—namely racism is not as pervasive and encompassing as we might like to believe and that the victim stance was going to be pretty hard to claim in the future. So then I became really excited and imagined how inspirational a black president would be, especially to the young black men who feel hopeless.
She then goes on to remind us that gender is also playing a role in this election:
Then came the ‘You’re likable enough, Hillary’ moment, and I swung sharply back to Hillary. I thought: ‘Great, another man who resents strong women and therefore resorts to personal insults to demean her.’
This is telling, because it shows that there is a conscious awareness among African-Americans that racism-as-an-excuse is losing credibility in America. Goodbye Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. It also shows the guilt associated with an Obama rejection in the midst of a possible cultural moment. These issues and concerns have to be in the minds of African-American voters.
There is a sad reality to all this. Say Obama becomes the 44th president and during his term things do not improve for African-Americans. What if the rates on incarceration, teen pregnancy, STD’s, graduation, and income levels stay stagnant or get worse? This will pose a problem for the Democratic Party if either Obama or Clinton get the White House, but if it is Obama, the letdown among African-Americans will be astronomical.
Voting for an African-American because of the historicity of his campaign is ignorance. Voting for a woman because of the historicity of her campaign is also ignorance. The ideological divide between Obama and Clinton is razor thin, forcing a tie breaker of sorts.
The Democratic nomination will now be decided by the superdelegates and not the voters. Will the superdelegates risk permanently alienating a large Democratic base and instigating Al Sharpton-led rioting in Denver? I am sure some of the more nihilistic members of the Democratic Party are salivating at the prospect of repeating Chicago ‘68, but doing so would be political suicide. A Hillary Clinton nomination=a lost voter base and a need for riot gear.
The Democratic Party created this situation. “The First Black President” has been called a racist when all he is doing is holding up a mirror to reality. Obama is getting votes because of his race (8 in 10 African-Americans voted for him in the South Carolina primary). Clinton is getting votes because of her gender. I do not see how the superdelegates can choose Clinton given the consequences. The Democrats are now being forced to play up to race, because Obama has been unable to put Clinton away in the primaries.
Back in 1998 when Bill was performing sex acts on Monica Lewinsky, showing young Americans alternative uses for cigars, African-American voters stood by him. This time it is different. Barack Obama is the first viable African-American candidate to run for president. Race is a part of it. African-Americans see hope in Obama like they never have seen before in a candidate. There is nothing wrong with this, and actually, is great to see. The problem is when voters choose Obama out of an emotional response due to a perceived moment. Bill Clinton, “The First Black President,” was a default candidate based on party affiliation. Obama is much more than this, but he should not be the default candidate for any percentage of voters based on his race.

Finally, Barack Obama came out of the closet and denounced his mentor and friend, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. He thoroughly trashed him only weeks from saying in Philadelphia that he could not disown him. This is a flip-flop that puts John Kerry to shame. Obama seems to think that when things are starting to stink, he can just get rid off the trash and everything will smell like roses. It will not work and things are worse off for him now that he has thrown Wright under the bus.
I am not buying what Obama is selling and anyone who does is still trapped in his tractor beam. Here is the deal so listen closely. This is the probable, yet unprovable, scenario: Obama needed to shed some Wright to get his campaign back up to speed and Wright needed to stroke his damaged ego. The two worked out a plan to help each other. Obama gets to go on a rant to rebuke Wright’s falsehoods and gets some damage control, while Wright enjoys a publicity tour answering softball questions, getting his ego boosted along with future book sales. It is a win/win, at least to the “messiah” and his followers.
The New John Kerry is in deeper, murkier water now. His credibility is shot if it was not already shot. He should have done all this right out of the gate before Wright was a one-word punchline. It is an assault on reason (thanks Al Gore) to suggest Obama was ignorant of Wright’s world view long before he entered the presidential race. It goes back to the question Obama likes to dance around like a school girl: Why did you stay at Trinity United Church of Christ if you and your family were being fed this incendiary garbage? Was it because you needed to hear his rhetoric to feed your world view?
The New John Kerry is more of the same—a politician concerned with attaining power and power only. This type of politician will say and do anything to get it. Obama is now flip-flopping on Wright in order to save his quest to become the most powerful man on the planet. He is willing to throw his mentor and his grandmother in front of a train to get what he wants. America is next.

The following letter to the editor appeared in the April 17th edition of USA Today and is very straight up about what immigration to America ought to look like. Two things about this letter from Klaus Bauer: (1) It is considered racist by today’s definition of racism. (2) It puts America in a more positive light than anything Barack Obama has uttered out of his mouth.
I came to USA as a legal immigrant from Germany 10 years ago. I was 35.
Already possessing pretty decent English language skills, I still took several classes before my arrival, making sure that this move would be an easy transition for me. I knew I wanted to stay in my professional field, which is finance, so I also learned financial terms used in this country.
I found employment within a month, I found new friends and co-workers, and due to hard work, I was able to work my way up in the corporate world. From Day One, I was welcomed with open arms, especially after showing efforts to learn the language. For me, USA is still the land of opportunity where everybody gets a fair chance at improving himself or herself.
I’m honored to be here and to show this great country the respect it deserves by speaking its language fluently and also by achieving citizenship.
Every immigrant has to make a decision to live by the rules if he or she wants to live here. It is hard for me to understand immigrants who come here without English skills, refuse to take an English class and then wonder why they’re not accepted by society.
The America of Klaus Bauer is an America of opportunity, not an America of bitterness. You see, Mr. Bauer recognizes the greatness of this country while Mr. Obama just recognizes the bitterness and negativity. Mr. Bauer seeks to lift America up while Mr. Obama seeks to tear it down. Mr. Bauer is “honored” to be an American while Mr. Obama associates with terrorists and listens to a pastor who equates America with the KKK. Does Barack Obama hate America? It is quite possible.

Ben Stein’s documentary Expelled hits theaters this week and this has many, if not all, evolutionists squirming in their panties. I find this hilarious because scientists are supposed to be open-minded. They are not. Scientists are open-minded when it fits the Darwinian agenda, or more specifically, the Darwinian propaganda machine. Is this guy open-minded? I think not. He is angry, bitter, and full of hate.
Evolutionists are members of a religion, and most will say this is a logical fallacy. This religion, as Stein puts a mirror to in his documentary, pervades the world’s institutions of higher learning. The credibility of evolutionists has to be questioned when they continue to shut out differing opinions on the origin of life. They must have a disquieted feeling that evolution cannot stand on its own, which it cannot. They are just too vested in Darwin’s theory to allow alternative views.
Answer this: Why has man not evolved in the last 10,000 years? We have no new appendages. Our hearing has not become dog-like. We still cannot lift 1000 pounds with ease. Certainly, our environment has changed incredibly, so why have we not evolved? Maybe we will develop special lungs that reduce the amount of carbon dioxide we emit. Females might even evolve to have Jennifer Lopez butts. If homosexuality is innate, why have gay men not evolved to have more feminine features or larger-than-normal rectums right out of the womb?
Scientists are proving just how weak-minded and susceptible to propaganda they have become since Isaac Newton walked the planet. Even he acknowledged that science cannot determine the origin of life. By today’s standards, Newton would have been expelled from academia and the scientific community. The evolutionists have left behind science and are firmly planted within the politics of liberalism and secularism.
The science is about finding an alternative to a God-created universe at all costs. This is why alternative ideas are shut down and professors lose tenure, if they even make it that far. The Ben Stein critics say he has no business commenting on science since he is no scientist. He is not commenting on science, he is commenting on the treatment of scientists who do not buy into evolution or the Big Bang Theory. He is exposing the reality of academia, and the propagandists are soiling their the panties just thinking about it.
Some Pain Ahead For America April 10, 2008

C.S. Lewis once wrote that pain is God’s “megaphone to rouse a deaf world.” I put this quote from The Problem of Pain on the top fold of my blog for a reason—it is the most lucid and brilliant quote of the 20th century, and a world view that is on its way towards extinction.
Open any newspaper or watch any 24/7 news channel and eventually you will see pain. Right now, it is economic pain that is on the minds of many Americans. A questionable poll shows that 81 percent of Americans are unhappy with the direction America is taking. I say this has more to do with the media’s incessant use of negativity with a Republican residing in the White House than anything else. Sadly, much of America buys into the propaganda machine of the “unholy trinity.”
Rod Dreher, an editorial columnist with the irrelevant Dallas Morning News, recently wrote an article about American consumerism and its role in any impending economic “crisis.” He says this about our situation:
The cultural roots of this crisis have to do with Americans’ refusal to recognize natural limits. Americans have lost the ascetic virtue of self-discipline and have become impatient with the idea of constraints on their individual will.
Stephen Moore, in a Wall Street Journal article entitled “The Bare Necessities: A Generation Tries To Imagine Life Without iPods,” says this about the individual will of Americans:
Consumption in real per-capita terms has nearly doubled since 1970. The single largest increase in expenditures for low-income households over the past 20 years was for audio and visual entertainment systems—up 119%. In 2007, Americans spent an estimated $1 billion to change the tune of the ringer on their cellphones.
How are these Americans able to buy the iPods, car audio systems, blu-ray disc players, HDTVs, Xbox 360s, and Playstation 2s? The credit card. Moore finishes off with this bit of information:
After my lecture, one young woman walked up to me on her way out and huffed: ‘What I favor is a radical redistribution of wealth in America.’ I tried to tell her that America’s greatness is a result of our focus on creating wealth, not redistributing it. But it was too late—she was already tuning in to her iPod.
This young American’s perspective is the the path Democrats like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama want to take us on. Maybe this is why young Americans love Obama so much—he sounds like one of their communist professors. What ever happened to personal responsibility? Why reward people who purchase what they cannot afford? The view from Dreher and Moore’s vantage point is nothing revelatory for me, but apparently, it is for some Americans. This perspective is also a worldly perspective, even if it is a perfectly logical one.
I am more interested in the Lewisian perspective, otherwise known as the Biblical perspective. America is headed for some tough times if it continues to follow Europe down the path of secular progressivism. Economically, we are starting to feel the pain as a nation. Some are better off than others, but when China decides to liquidate its $900 billion dollars in U.S. bonds, we will see the real pain. The message to the United States: Just try boycotting the China Olympics.
How did we get into this predicament? Consumerism, materialism, and our pathological need to keep up with the Joneses. Of course, there are many others, but I am going to stick with economics in this post. We are so deluded as a nation, so lacking in personal responsibility that we cannot even blame ourselves. Democrats blame Republicans, Republicans blame Democrats, Liberals blame Conservatives, Conservatives blame Liberals, legals blame illegals, hippies blame yuppies, yuppies blame the stock market, the 10% tax bracket blames the 35% tax bracket. Guess what? We are all too blame. We are all sinners.
There are consequences for our actions as individuals and as nations. For America, it is obvious, to use Rev. Jeremiah Wright, that our “chickens are coming home to roost” economically. The diagnosis is so simple it is undetectable to the experts and intellectuals. The cure is even simpler, but just as invisible. The Bible (NIV) gives us ample warning:
…if any nation does not listen, I will completely uproot and destroy it. (Jeremiah 12:17)
The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. (Matthew 3:10)
How long will you love delusions and seek false gods? (Psalm 4:2)
Pour out your wrath on the nations that do not acknowledge you, on the kingdoms that do not call on your name; for they have devoured Jacob and destroyed his homeland. (Psalm 79:6)
This is what the Lord says: ‘Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord…’ (Jeremiah 17:5)
Do wear yourself out to get rich; have the wisdom to show restraint. Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle. (Proverbs 23:4-5)
Does a complete surrender to the Lord’s will immunize us from economic pain? No. However, it gives us a perspective that allows us to deal with economic downturns. You see, God is the world’s banker. He has all the money, because He brought it all into existence. We are the managers of His money, and when we mismanage what He gives us, we can only expect to lose it. Just consider the parable of the Talents.
America is turning its back on God. We are a nation of material gluttons fueled by debt. Do not be surprised by the consequences.
Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever loves wealth is never satisfied with his income. This too is meaningless. As goods increase, so do those who consume them. And what benefit are they to the owner except to feast his eyes on them? (Ecclesiastes 5:10-11)

Barack Obama knew the views of Rev. Jeremiah Wright. He knew this guy was an anti-American bigot. He knew this guy was anti-Christian. He and his wife gave money to this false prophet as 20+ year members. Obama’s association with Wright contradicts everything he stands for in this election and proves he is disingenuous and, at best, a good orator. His attempt to distance himself from Wright just makes him look like a liar.
If Barack Obama loved America the way I do and the way most Amerians do, he would have left Trinity United Church of Christ when he first knew about Wright’s inflammatory tendencies. He would have personally denounced Wright and his church. Does Obama love America, or does he love the power America can give him? He is afraid of losing that possibility. This is why he is coming out against his friend and mentor Jeremiah Wright. Obama is finished as a viable candidate, if he ever was one.

It’s a mistake to think of the climate crisis as one in a list of issues that will define our future. It’s the issue. Everything else has to be viewed through that lens.
